What is TangleSmooth?
"TangleSmooth" speaks to the before & after of the design process. "Tangle" represents the problem or the reason a change is needed. "Smooth" represents the result achieved from a well-planned and thoughtful design.

With a "tangle" the substance already exists, it just needs to be altered, reorganized or restructured. Then it's value can be revealed and utilized.

Where does inspiration come from?
Everyday life? Who knows, I do know it's important to keep the creative mind invigorated. For me part of this process involves keeping a list of things, I come across daily, that get me to pause and process...candy wrapper designs, commercials, song lyrics, celebrity gossip, restaurant reviews. I keep a casual list of these details then analyze them when I have to kill some time. It keeps the mind busy, which is great for creativity.

More important than this list is to just keep "doing". Staying busy by always having a creative project on hand.
