2006 Website Redesign: Mini-Site Design
Objective: Provide extensive content to assist customers with their cruise-shopping experience.
Process: Start with the shell used for the new promotion template. Create needed functionality by designing a standard sub-navigation versatile enough to use with all mini-sites. Giving this secondary navigational unit a very pale grey background seperates it from the white page, yet is low contrast enough to not come across as a weighty element. This section also doubles as a page title and section overview, eliminating verbal duplication and training the user to look to this area.
